The problem with TPP was that it really was a "real" MGS game, but it concentrated on all the wrong things, as opposed to previous MGS games...
If MGS4 concentrated HEAVILY on telling the story which made every single fan stand in awe with their hands beside their heads when the credits roll... TPP did a entirely other thing - it prioritized gameplay over story entirely.

After the boring chorefest that was MGSV I have no idea of what's better or worse: somebody with a brain taking MGS in his hands and possibly try to make it fun without Kojima, or just cross the whole series out of existence entirely.
I mean, by this point the series is basically done. The Phantom Pain was the worst MGS game to ever exist, but it did close the book on MGS series. FucKonami can still capitalize on MG1 and MG2 remakes, but further then that...? Well, Platinum can al...
