I am unsure Resident Evil really needed a fresh perspective...
Seriously, CAPCOM, if you just made it the way it was made back in the day it would've been much more risky, honorable and fresh. After years upon years we were eating nothing but first-person horror games (well, save for The Evil Within, which needs a sequel ASAP !!!) and it would've been nice if a good old Resident Evil franchise just bursted out of captivity, bringing back exactly what it was back in the day AN...
What ? No.
Ofcourse they were third-person perspective. Fixed camera third-person, it is called.
Realism. Resident Evil. Yeah...
Also, VR. Hey there, third-world countries ! Screw you and your financial inability to afford such things by default, that is nothing of our caring, but we're still going to change a video game franchise's perspective to force this useless tech either way because some people are just too good for your screens and are unable to immerse themselves without a helm on their head anymore.
Ha-ha-ha-ha, a suicide joke, how hilarious, :D fella.
Ex-actly !
Hah, good to know that even developers are starting to realize how annoying and repetative the usual walking simulators have become.
Good for them. Perhaps in few years the survival horror genre might escape this First-Person scourge. Here is for hoping for the good times to be back :)
They can be if developer is unable to refuse his addiction of making it into a franchise or if publisher demands it to become one. Then yes, no closure is possible because those two are planning to cash in on the sucess.
Good :)
Hope WoFF sells well too. Spin-off titles never hurt nobody :)
As if anyone's gonna answer me there and provide hours upon hours of magnificent conversation XD
It certainly won't approach it in the same psychologically-mystical way. Because it can't let itself do something like that, because it's Resident Evil (well, at least in it's own mind) and Resident Evil is more about physical, B-movie spooks. That's not to say it will be bad, I'm just pointing out that people seriously should not expect the same level of penetration.
Yes, we should :) Good thing you are getting it. There must be a reason I am playing Zero right now just for the hell of it - just trying to get that fixed camera tank controls fix current gaming industry just refuses to give me even in the form of a numbered Resident Evil game that is coming out.
Good thing you are getting it, though, here, have this, a like ;)
A breath of fresh air... Fighting people in First-Person instead of just walking in First-Person view...
To even think that this is supposed to be something new, eh ? XD
God, here I was 10 years ago, thinking to myself - surely gaming will be even more awesome 10 years down the road... And here we are, trying to summon excitement over simple ability to fight in First-Person game of Resident Evil, eh ?
God, how pathetic we became XD
It is never good enough for them.
There is never such a thing as too much money.
I fully agree.
Dunno, but they sure didn't surpass VII... Not by a long shot.
FF VII amount of magics: too much to count.
FF XV amoun of magics: basically 4.
FF VII amount of Summons: 16.
FF XV amount of Summons: 4 real, 1 as an enemy boss (unusable), 1 as a scripted event.
Yes, they do. And they will.
And I fully agree on the "uninspired, boring, generic turd that have split personality disorder syndrome & doesn't know wtf is it & for who it was made for" part.
Please, SE, don't hold the proposition of a sequel hostage, it is getting really old. You know what might be a good idea ? Putting half of that advertisement money into actual game - I'd like myself 6-7 more Summons to use, thank you very much. Some flashy FF XII-style Limit Breaks would fit perfectly too.
It already did well, though, so I highly doubt FF XVI isn't going to happen. But if it does and it is as uneventful and lacking in content like more then 4 Summons, ba...
Whoopie, good thing there will be other enemies but the family and they are clearly showing puzzles and stuff. Too bad it's First-Person, though, after all these years of constant First-Person horror games I am getting pretty irritated with this perspective... Please, the great god of variety, make these fools see the error of their ways.
The only thing that is worrying me is the fact that Disney is at the helm of Marvel now... Hope The House of the Mouse won't make CAPCOM dumb down with disturbing stuff like Nemesis (although I'd prefer Birkin's mutated form) or villains's constant rambling about heroes being a feeble lot (Wesker) that could be seen as racist remarks... What I am saying is that I hope Disney had a bowl of blood and liked it.
Hey there, ya silly little bully bashing people's subjective opinions and legitimate wants by simple mindless mockery and no civilized counter-argument whatsoever ? How's your day going ? :)
