If they are to release next year, they definately need to make it more powerful than the rumored specs.
Alot of gamers this gen have latched on to ps4 because of the power difference to x1. The average joe has done the same because of hype around that power difference.
Question is, can sony do it? I doubt it but it will be interesting to see if gamers and the average person gravitate to the most powerful one again.
If neo launches mid 2017 with those rumored specs then it will be in trouble. It really needs to launch this year imo.
Who in their right mind ( apart from the sony faithful ) wouldnt wait a few months until a much more powerful scorpio is out.

Not at all, ms shown games they had already shown last year with hardly any suprises, and sony shown games that are a mile out so no ones innocent.

I think the hardware side is a little different to be fair. It gives xbox fans that have had to put up with this dick measuring contest, know that ms are still in the console business and are not going anywhere with the powerful sounding specs of the scorpio.
Games are different, announcing scorpio now, gives gamers plenty of time to save up, buy a 4k tv if they havent got one already, but showing games that could not be ready for another 3 to 4 years? Can be a b...

I agree sonys games look awesome, especially GodofWar, always loved that series. Like the over the shoulder view point now, looks cool.
But i was a little dissapointed they only had a release date for one first party game, so the others are a long way off.

Thats bs. Alot of playstation gamers have cared about power up until this point. Console gamers care about power beleive me, only between consoles tho. Pc's are irrelevant in the console space, console gamers dont care for pc.

I wouldnt bother dude, the sony faithful are just trying to downplay the scorpio, yet if sony were to bring out a 6tflop console it would be the best thing ever.
When the neo specs leaked, all you would see was comments along the lines of "rip xbox" it was pretty sad.
And now they are clammering to downplay this because they cant stand to be 2nd or even 3rd in the power department. They just really need to grow the hell up.

Its just choice at the end of the day. And most parents buying for their kids will not know this. And some casual gamers dont care, so this is aimed at the hardcore probably for a hardcore price. Im definatley gonna get one regardless. Xbox just won me back.
