Except if they do re-release the modern warfare series for next gen PS4 will get it before Xbox due to the fact Sony has a contract with Activision; However I think it should be released with the next COD for both systems.

I agree that it is more likely to be some sort of update or adaptation as opposed to a brand new console that won't be compatible with PS4 games.
A very well publicized and documented rumor. When the major gaming news outlets have stories about a topic it's usually bound to come true. This "PS4.5" sure has gained a lot of traction.

Sony's sold a ton of PS4's in a fraction of the time it took them to reach these numbers last gen. It would be pretty idiotic to introduce a more powerful model after selling so many. Not many people are going to buy PS4.5 so soon after buying a PS4. No developers are going to make games exclusively for the new model, thus guaranteeing loss of sales from everyone who kept their original instead. It'll be the New 3DS all over again.
There should be at least 6 years between generations but it looks like it's getting shorter which is sad for console gamers, 3 years though is NOT acceptable that's an upgrade path for a PC gamer not for consoles.
Call of Duty game titles have become pretty predictable these last three or four installments.
My view is that too many gamers have been burned way too many times by buying awful games that either weren't finished or never should have been put out, or just seem like a game that we've played before. Now I am hearing they are trying to do away with used games somehow with the new systems?

The rumor is that Activision has ACTUALLY confirmed it.
I still believe that MW3 will outsell BF3. I mean everyone was disappointed with Black Ops, I think everyone is going to buy MW3 and give COD one more chance. Also we don't know anything official about MW3, it could be vastly improved...
I enjoyed the story and characters personally, but what part of the gameplay and mechanics was bad? That's where I get confused the most
