I think the PS4 and 720 will be about the same. There is no logical need to have more power than that for them. Games will be made to fit the specs, that means games will look as or possibly better than pc's while using less power. If ms had better specs than sony it would be stupid of them. Specs matter more to the fans, sony probably doesn't even need 8 gigs.
I think this killzone I have seen is the best looking game I have seen. PC or otherwise. Granted my PC isn't the highest end but it was about 1,500 dollars a couple years ago when I bought it. I haven't seen a game this good. But Crysis 3 is beautiful too. I know i'll get hate for saying that but it's how I feel.

I see the point you're making but I just can't agree that the games were ho hum. I know killzone isn't a hot seller but just seeing it made my mouth water (not sure why, I wasn't hungry) It looks freaking amazing to me. And I love to see differant types of games like knack, it looks fun! These are exactly the types of games I was hoping they would be making. And they look fantastic to me.
I couldn't see any difference between the ps3 and 360. PC looked a bit sharper to me. I think they hyped the graphics of crysis 3 up so much I was expecting more on the PC version. Crysis 1 looks better to me.
It's starnge, I was expecting the PC version to look way better. It looks better but not to the level I was thinking it would.
According to the article the ram alone is 16x the amount at a much faster speed than the ps3, the GPU is alot more powerful plus the cpu and gpu are on the same die which makes them communicate alot faster freeing up memory. Sounds like it's miles ahead of this gen.
Good point, without knowing the competition would have more ram sony may never have upped theirs. Competition is good.
I think they have to so they can switch momentum to them. I think both will be amazing machines, I know my buddy will get the 720 and i'll get the PS4. Best of both worlds.
I thought Killzone was being played live at the showing... If so it is probably the best looking game I have seen yet. I play alot of PC but this game kills it.

Yeah it seems more likely MS and Valve may get in some sort of heated competition then Sony and Valve. Sony will try and push Nintendo out I think.

You're defending the media? And you're calling visible shlong delusional. The press conference did what it needed to do, hype the PS4 which will be an amazing machine. I'm sure the nextbox will be great too. Yes, the reason so introduced first was because they were so behind the 360 launch it put them in a bad place. But it's not like the PS3 is far behind in sales. It sounds to me like you're the fanboy here.
I don't think it matters, it didn't even cross my mind until MS tweeted it. Sony didn't want to play all their cards and that's not a bad thing at all. I'm sure it will be super pretty and box like.... I am just excited for some great looking and fun games next gen regardless of what system i get.
I will continue to drool over old screenshots until then.
