Equating a PS4 to a V8 engine and a X1 to a four banger is laughable. Both a 4 cylinders, but the PS4 is more powerful. You are making it sound like the PS4 is packing tri-titans under the hood....
This pacing themselves theory is utter BS.
Sony's IP library is so deep that there is no need to pace themselves. They should have delivered an AAA title day one. Instead, we have a glut of indie titles that may not resonate with the masses.
Sony is doing a great job.... They have a more powerful console and are cheaper.... Kudos to them. However, I cannot help but feel that they could have done better year one.
It is funny how now that Sony's cloud is somehow more tangible than MS's...... Let us shelf all the MS BS for one moment. Sony will have the same issues of latency, bandwidth, and consistency that people were so right in pointing out.
So what happened? Also, Sony is not at the forefront of any cloud tech. MS and Amazon are....

I play Forza 5 everyday. Peggle 2 and Spartan Ops are a nice distraction. I don't know about others, but I think I am good until March and TitanFall.
Then I think I am good until Sunset Overdrive......
Then I think I am good until Quantum Break......
Then I think I am good until Halo 5
All in 2014....

Both the PS4 and X1 will do fine. It is silly to believe that these games represent what either machine can do.
Yep, there is no conspiracy. But we are beginning to see reality set in:
1) 1st wave games are not very good.
2) Resolution has little impact on gameplay
3) Killzone as a series was never stellar, but solid
4) The differences between the X1 and PS4 is not as great as many wanted to believe
Look at the historical marks for the series and it all begins to make sense. Their is no conspiracy: The series is just not excellent, like Uncharted or Halo.
Look, Killzone as a series has been mediocre. I do not say that to gloat or to stoke any flames. 7.5-8 is what I expected.
Dark times are coming, then the Naughty Dog shall shine their light on us.

Both the X-1 and the PS4 will have teething troubles. If you are an early adopter that is the price that you pay for being first...

You are right. People get the systems for the games. I can completely understand an individuals stating that they are getting the PS4 because they love Naughty Dog games. Me? I am getting the X1 first because I want Forza 5 plain and simple. The problem is that some folks need to piss on that because Forza has "baked lighting" or "no night driving" etc....
People just need to enjoy whatever it is that they are getting...
No one is convincing any PS4 owner to get the X1. But it does seem that many Sony fans are intent on ridiculing those that FEEL that the X1 is the better choice FOR THEM.
Also, judging either the X1 or the PS4 by first wave games is silly.
Dude, they probably gave out 1000 of these systems to loyal individuals that probably already paid for their Day Ones....
As a recipient of a console, I can tell you that I am not complaining.
