What features?
$700 price is high but in a way fair. For $200-$300 you get a 2tb nvme vs 825gb ($100 difference) and you getting about a 7700xt vs 5700xt.($200 difference) Not personally buying one but playing PC this is norm for upgrades. Is the price right for a resolution bump and 30 frames probably not but there is a market for it like GPU’s every 2 years for pc that still sellout. But I get the console market is different than the PC market.
Intel 13th and 14th may have voltage issues that degrade the cpu very fast. They are trying to release bios updates to fix the microcode that causes this. I got 14th gen I7 in December and it runs fine no issues, but we may be just lucky or it could still happen. Intel extended the warranty already on all the affected cpus.
Subscriptions are the company’s answer to the used market. The used market was huge and they wanted that money. So lower the fee let you use the game and trade to another. People wanted to play as much games as possible for lowest cost for years. Now the company gives it to you just in their way, so they make all the money.
The future is digital. Doesn’t matter if we like it or agree but the majority goes digital. Books, movies, and music. PC gaming had the same issue a decade ago and it is currently digital. Consoles unfortunately will be the same. And biggest segment of gaming (smart phones) is digital.
It doesn’t compare at all. One is a pc component one is a console. If want to just play newer games no fuss buy a PS5. If you would like a high end pc for whatever buy a 4080 super. If they comparing graphics not really fair either. Obviously a high end gpu has more power than a console. And more cost.
I got this free with a 40 series gpu, can say it wasn’t bad for free. Will be a good $0.99 game soon.
I don’t have a PS5 so when their exclusives release they are worth full price because they are new to me and have extra PC features. Video games studios are businesses they run on money. We believe they love us and want to give us the world but they actually just want to make money, so they attempt to make something they believe is worth so much money and if we agree we pay that price.
This an extension of your PS5. That’s it, if you have the money and would like the option to play with this then do so. This isn’t made to compete with anything just to extend your experience. I don’t have a PlayStation just gaming PC. But it’s other people’s money why downgrade them because they like something. Spend your money on what you want. Parity should have never been announced. Nor 1440p 120fps. Now consoles are different than PC but basically they crippled the ram. 8 gb DDR6 and 2 gb slower ram. They basically gave a system a gtx1660 slightly slower with crippled ram. Should have been marketed as a 720p 30 fps system. Teraflops is the GPU the CPU is only about 2.7 Gflops in either system or even a pc if you had 3900x which these cpus are the equivalent of.
How did You 12 disagrees saying the cpu was slightly better and that Ram was the issue? That’s a fact and actual problem.
Can order right now from Best Buy. Took awhile to get a steam deck sold out for awhile and this one available still. So I doubt this story is legit. Have the steam deck, do like the 120 hz but not selling a steam deck for some resolution and fps. Yes native stores is also nice but have Diablo IV running on my steam deck only took a few minutes to get Battle.net working.
Glad this is coming to PC since it’s the only platform I have now. By the way everyone saying only PS5 could do this game, Nvme 4.0 speed were just releasing for pc and the 30 series RTX cards were a year away at PS5 launch. So at the time yes only PS5 could do.
I don’t think it would hurt Playstation sales at all if they launched day one on PC. You buy a console for the best bang for the buck. You buy a Pc because you do something besides gaming or you have enough money for top end equipment. The profits are higher selling through Playstation because no cut for steam or other pc stores. Most people are not buying a PC with the upfront cost higher to get console level gaming.

Game seems to run fine on my pc. It has bugs yes and yes some should be fixed before release. But just spending big money on pc components doesn’t mean you can just power through everything. Adjust settings to your components and let the shaders build fully be starting game.
Machine learning already exist on PC I thought there was a feature that wasn’t on PC that I didn’t see when they announced it.
