I have to admit its a nice bit of kit there, but it's also just another example of big publishers trying to 'soften' up the reviewers who drive a large chunk of their sales :)
On the other hand - none of the sources of this story could be considered rock solid..
I would of suggested you try the demo - but doesn't look like one is planned at this stage :S
I don't think we'll be reviewing such an old title at this stage :P

Nobody is asking you to take our review as gospel. If you still want to try it go ahead.
We don't get paid by anyone to write these reviews, they're done by gamers who just want to offer an independent opinion. A lot of crap gets released by publishers and then sugarcoated by some of the bigger review sites who DO get paid by these guys.
Either way its a free country, if you want to waste your cash on titles of this quality then go ahead :) ...
Stuff 3D, bring us VR!
VR tech has been around for years and years, and yet nobody wants to bring it to the home gamers.
Sega nearly did, but it got shelved at the very last minute :(
Looking back, the review probably does contain a little too much emotion.
The score is justified though, it is a horrible, broken game and not worth anyones time or money.
Don't get me wrong, I'm really enjoying Demigod, it actually reminds me of an old RPG called NOX. I think its a great effort from a smaller developer, and I really admire the way they have released it to the market.
If if had a few more arenas, or even a map editor, and a more fleshed out single player mode, then I think 9/10 would be perfectly reasonable.
In it's current state I think 7 or 8 is a pretty accurate score. Hopefully Stardock continue to release more c...
