How can this game look bad... there is no way someone is not interested in this game unless they hate the genre. I'd maybe be skeptical on when it releases whether it is good but in regard to presentation this game looks amazing.
With the exception of Grand Theft Auto V, because there is great detail in that world (what you do in the world is boring however, I agree), many open world games lack detail, with open area games, large amounts of work and detail can be put into the world than can allow the gamer become immersed into the universe. Uncharted 4 is a great example.

Open area games are great when done right, like dishonored, STALKER, or Batman AA! We need more of them if anything.
If people did not think Activision would not have done this then they need to wake up. This was obvious, and if anything, it would have been a bad business decision not to release COD4 standalone. Activision did the right thing, I am actually surprised it took this long!

Yes, heres why...
1. More games, why not.
2. There is more to be told, it is expected a sequel.
3. All the flaws could be worked with, most sequels are improved because of the feedback given.
EDIT: I enjoyed this game, mainly however because I got a lend of it, I would not have liked if I bought the game full price admittedly, but as a game I have played without paying I enjoyed it. If they improved it, I may buy a possible sequel.
The PC version remained uncensored, id probably get that variation.
But, we do play them eventually most of the time. I prefer what Bethesda did with Fallout 4, the game was announced like 6 months before releasing, but people need to know what to expect if you buy a PS4.
That is fair enough, did not fit into the creators vision, if people are angry, they can make their own game.
