Whoa Im late, i understand your statement but ya gotta look at it like this.. During the Wii/DS success, it was before the tablet/smartphone exsplosion. Also it was kinda owed to the "casual" consumer for the most part. The Gamecube sold 20ish mill, those are the core gamers. Iwata changed everything, the logo, their image, etc. If someone brings up Ninty on an interview or a typical gaming discussion, chances are it's about Playstation or Xbox
LOL! I like that piece they mentioned about M$ trying so hard to impress like a bad date & shaking your shoulders saying this will be the best experience ever. That is classic right there. Anyways I don't agree all the way with Nintendo's direction, next year is the year. Although I do their idea of a colorful party room for all those games ;)

Meowth is as iconic just like Pikachu & Mewtwo. Pikachu's # 25, while Meowth is # 52. They are considered opposites, hero vs villian, cat & mouse.

The SEGA Genesis was my favorite design until the Wii U came out, glossy black is sexy. With all these different control options to push her buttons.... She's a decent size not taking too much shelf space, mmm ;)

Damn, I really don't like Reggie. This guy's a dick. Is he supposed to represent Nintendo of America? I don't think so. We want 3rd party games as well not just Mario, Zelda, & DK shoved down our throats. The casual market is gone, the end results will be the true sales regarding the core gamers this time around

I hate to say this, but Japanese gaming is on the decline. What sells now is FPS, Action, & Dancing games. It's ok to still sell to your loyal fanbase, but ya gotta also sell what's in demand with a touch of your own formula. For example, that guy who made No More Heroes & Lollipop Chainsaw went outside the box & earned himself a cult following
