I dont think so, because if you want the best E3 in the history of gaming your competitors have to have a really bad showing and Sony wont let that happen.
The xbox ones showing was a success if you love watching TV. It left gamers wanting, the question is if the market they are targeting will buy into it.
I believe even though they redeem themselves by showing games at E3 it is too late, the damage has been done.
I have always liked the xbox controller when playing FPS's but the dualshock is the best with fighting and sports games, also the dualshock 4 looks really comfortable so I think its performance with FPS's will be much better next gen.
I wonder if the xbox one will suffer from something similar to the red lights.
The response in the West was not so good so Japan is out of the quwstion.

I was more impressed with the Ps4 Presentation. It was longer and more games were shown. Heck even the stage they used was better in the PS4 presentation...
TBH it looked like a low budget PC game too me, sure some parts looked OK but the fire effects for example looked really current gen, I hope they prove me wrong with actual gameplay but I don't think they will.
