A new KotOR would be amazing, didn't really enjoy the departure that was The Old Republic
Good to see someone talking some sense, Revelations 1 not having local co-op on console was a damn shame, lately i've been getting quite sad seeing all the games that no longer include LOCAL multiplayer so this is definitely refreshing news for me.
KotOR 2 is my favorite game of all time, but i have never got to enjoy it's continuation story wise in SWTOR due to my PC being quite low end and not being able to run the game very well, so being able to play it on console with a smooth framerate and decent graphics would be a godsend for me, i've always thought the Old Republic era was the most enjoyable aspect of the Star Wars universe.
I personally hope it is multiplatform, even though i am inevitably going to buy a PS4 eventually i don't think anyone should miss out on a game like this, PS4, Xbox One and PC alike, horror is making a comeback and it needs all the saturation it can get in the process.
This really is a win win the more you look at it, think about it, if this gets decent sales all around then i'd say it's undeniable proof to Capcom that the demand for the original style of Resident Evil is still there, and that can mean nothing but good news for the future of the series.
This is one of my favorite franchises of all time and the possibility of not having the chance to play this one as well as 4 still makes me a very very sad man.
As much as i'm a die hard DMC fan, and as much as this game did a lot wrong as a part of the series, i still enjoyed it in it's own right and playing it on next gen with a more acceptable framerate would feel VERY nice.
I never had the opportunity to play BC1, but BC2 was my introduction to the Battlefield series, and safe to say 3 and 4 have been somewhat of a step down since, that and the Vietnam DLC was one of the most worthwhile expansions i've ever bought.
You know for a second there i thought this article was hinting at a new "Rising" title...
See now as sad as this news is, if platinum games could just swoop in and own Devil May Cry again that would be great...not like it's going to happen though.
Capcom need only to look towards what Mikami is doing to realize that actual survival horror still sells, or just look towards it's fans like everybody here who is foaming at the mouth at the thought of a traditional Resi game, if Capcom could get back in gear with the series, reboot or not, and make it great again like it was, then the next few years would be VERY exciting for fans of the genre like me with games like Evil Within and the new Fatal Frame in the works.
*sigh* now a...
To be perfectly honest, as long as she is strictly a mercenaries character to have some mindless fun with that's fine by me, the more the better, nothing wrong with an extra character...even if everybody hates her.
Damn, at first when Bayonetta 2 was announced it was hard to resist buying the system, but i kept my composure knowing it would only be for one game, but now this? my favorite horror franchise? You got me Nintendo....you got me.
I don't know IGN, having your playable character seem unphased by set scares in the environment seemed to work out pretty well for Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Fatal Frame.
Idiots.
I would say that i'm hoping that they will add a 3rd ultra for every existing character but i know that would just be wishful thinking.
Because i'm getting both consoles, i'll likely get the X1 due to it's earlier release, and to it's credit these exclusives will keep me more than happy whilst i wait for the PS4.
Solid Snake: "Gaming...has changed."
This console birthed virtually all of my favorite franchises back in the day, Red Faction, Fatal Frame, Devil May Cry, ect.
safe to say as long as i still own those games, this console will never die.
Somebody remind this guy to NEVER play Max Payne 3 in that case.
If the title of the article is at all accurate then that is not good news for the genre in my opinion, it's definitely a hit of a game no matter which way you look at it, and simplistic gameplay is often a positive thing in horror, but to this extent? There's feeling helpless because of an intentionally limited control scheme like Silent Hill for example, and then there's just flat out feeling un-involved.
