its very different from your normal games. if you got enough footprints you should find your monster all the times. and the maps are confusing at first, but they get familiar once you hunt more monsters there.
MH is about learning to hunt. Learn your environment and learn the monsters.

Well the thing is that in MH every hit with any weapon has to be timed. Because the weakest monster can kill you if you dont know how to play it.

The thing is that you are talking from a subjective perspective, and are also taking into account the artstyle. Decima is amazing but in the Unity demo there is way more going on, and that is what is making this impressive. I could show you a screenshot of ratchet and clank and tell you this is amazing because I like the style of it. But this is about how much you can put on screen and the detail it can have.

You may like elex for its rpg elements but combat wise its a joke compared to Nioh.
This year I enjoyed Horizons combat the most, but that is a very different game.
The demo does not give a great impression for first time players.
The fun in monster hunter is to get the movements of the monsters and get the timing right just for you to attack at the right moment. If you went in and buttonsmashed. you would definately have no fun. They should have just put you in with some small monsters and some quests that actually demand you to play intelligent.
As a MH Veteran this does not bother me in th slightest, but I understand it from a rookie...
I played online with the psp versions all the time. You had to get your ps3 to make get an app that was on the store and connect that way.

Then I played number 4. Absolutely awesome.
While I see that some may like the old ones better. I am on the other side. The new saints row games(4+) are so unique in the gaming scene I would love to see more of that.
