you need hardware to even be able to sell something to anyone. So having hardware is the FOUNDATION not "inconvinience" for console manufacturers.

In the past that was what they would do, but I think now they want people to go to the next gen so not cutting the price for ps4 is better for them as people will just see the ps5 that is not that much more and just jump on the nextgen
