I was merely talking about Smartphones in terms of specs. I know you can never get the gaming experience Vita has to offer without physical buttons. But if you read the rumors of the new Samsung Galaxy S3 if those specs come up true its going to be a beast. 2.0ghz quad core, HD screen, 1.5gb ram, and super amoled 3. In terms of specs alone the Vita will be oudated. But in terms of game optimization the Vita has the advantage.
Although the 5 inch oled screen with 960x54...
The biggest hog in batter life will be the chip itself. Im pretty sure the chip will be built on 45nm process which doenst make them battery efficient. Once these chip move to 28nm process you will see a dramatic increase in battery performance. Sony can't wait another year to release the Vita or they will lose market share to 3DS and mobile platform.
This really sucks because smartphones are going to be out with even better specs this time next year. Quad core with ...
Who is forcing you to buy a 3g version..no one is, its just an option. I'm sure a very small percentage of people will buy a 3g version. Its not like youll be able to use it to play multiplayer online. Its mostly for updates and social stuff.
For people whose on this guys side think about it if sony is so bad for going after this guy why has the court favored sony so far. From what i've been reading the court has been granting sony most of the request they been asking for. Hopefully this sets a precedent and they rule in Sonys favor and scare away any hackers attempting to to ruin console which companies invest billions of dollars to make. Piracy is a big reason why developers dont take risk with games.
Of course it will have some affect but not enough to slow sales. Smartphones are going to be big this year but really for gaming purposes whose going to choose a smartphone over NGP. Anyway why would you want to be locked in on a two year contract with a phone where your spending about $80-100 a month on your bill. You can use that money to buy games for the NGP. Between all 4 carrier their smartphone plans are very pricey.
I was reading his message. In it he wrote and ill quote "I am an advocate against mass piracy". Isn't he responsible for people being able to pirate games on the PS3 because he released the master key to the public over the internet. Doesn't this allow for mass piracy. A little hypocritical aren't you.
I for one am excited about this game. This is the first multiplayer online experience that is not an actual first person shooter or something that involves guns. I've been waiting for something like this.
I beg to differ in terms of graphics Infinity Blade which is on the Iphone/Ipod touch looks better than Ghost of Sparta.
Do you know why, sony has learned from past mistake. If you saw the press confrence you will see that most of the developers were saying how easy it is to write programs for the NGP. The PS3 on the other hand to this day many developers still can't get the most out of the system.
I don't know if many of you notice but i dont think most of these developers had the PSP2 for very long. Many of the developers that presented their games said they took only a couple of weeks to port it to the system to show whats its capable of. I think only first party developers had it longer because you see them showing a demo of Uncharted playing in real time. The only reason why this meeting happened was because Sony knew 3DS is releasing soon so they wanted to steal some attent...
But the problem is that these hackers are bragging about their ability to hack the PS3 and then releasing codes for anyone on the internet. If they did this in the privacy of their own home fine, but letting it be public knowledge its basically asking Sony to do something about it.
Forgive me for sounding dumb but i guess i am when it comes to hacking a system. Ok so the ps3 got hack. Of the 47 million PS3 that has be sold so far how many people do you think knows how to use the tools these guys made to hack the PS3. Im guessing a very small amount. I dont think hacking is as easy as reading an instruction manual. What i hate about these hackers is that they make it public knowledge by creating website to give out codes or tools or whatever it is used to hack. Ok G...
@deadlybrand
the price is not for the oled. Its for the monitor some kind of professional grade monitor. If you were comparing those monitor for the price its priced right for its size its not the oled that made it that expensive. Plus Sony started investing on a oled production plant back in 2008. They said its cheaper to produce than lcd. Isuppli says that the cost for 4" amoled screen is about $38. So quit trying to confuse people.
Dude I have no idea what your talking about or what your trying to promote with your link. I'm just reading peoples comment and they are getting excited about online gaming on the go. I'm just saying there is no reliable wireless network that allows for true online gaming on the go. 4g is going to fix that but they need more coverage than they have now. People should realize 3g would not be ideal for online gaming.
3g on this would be great for online browsing and social network but not ideal for multiplayer gaming. Think about it 3g is not really a reliable connection, it is very easy to lose the 3g connection on the go. My cell phone loses 3g all the time. So for example if your sitting on the bus playing online with the 3g the bus could travel about 2 or 3 blocks and all of a sudden you lose connection. I would be very pissed if im in the middle of a match.
Well the psp2 is not going to be a phone its primary use is to be a gaming machine.
I have a feeling the cpu will be powered by Nvidia. If you look at the rumor of Nvidia being the first to come out with a quad core arm a9 mobile processor in the fall of 2011, it falls in line with the rumor release of the PSP2 in late 2011. Nvidia has done work for Sony before so the possibily of it happen again is very real. And there were other rumors before of the PSP2 using the tegra2 but maybe sony wanted something more powerful so thats why they have to wait on the quad core.
i could care less about numbers. i just care about the games. we can leave the arguing to these fanboys.
If you take into account the x360 had a year head start, the PS3 is doing dam good in my opinion. Who cares if the PS3 never catches up. As long as it can keep the gap in the 4million range, that would make PS3 ahead in terms of timeframe. The X360 was ahead by almost 6 million by the time PS3 came to market.
After watching all the trailers, uncharted golden abyss has one of the best graphics for the vita. I can only imagine how much better graphics get once they max out this system.
