Yes, because they've had a plethora of kick-ass IP's, but pride always comes before the fall; watch the competition surpass them next gen.
Competition, of course, is a good thing and will only make everyone better, which is great for the consumer!
But Sony sure has been delivering some kick a** IP's this gen and it makes me stoked to be a gamer!

Mmm, I love 500 dollar mid gen upgrades lol. Don't get me wrong, if you have the money and want a beastly console then go for it. I'm sure it will be great at it's propose. I'm just not willing to fork over that much cash yet on another console. More than enough to play on PS4 as is. If Sony released a bonkers powerful PS5 in the near future, I'd hold off on that too.
With the absurd amount of anger directed at developers nowadays, it's good to see this opinion piece. Dev's get way too much crap for many things which are rarely directly their fault. Strongly opinionated children on the internet need to try and learn a thing or two about other people's positions and perspectives.
Excellent write-up! I haven't played a Wolfenstein since return to castle Wolfenstein. I actually just ordered old blood and the new order off of best buy because I've heard great things and I've been dying for something like it. I would love to see new multiplayer implemented as well.
What about the Wolfenstein releasing this fall? I saw no mention of that here.

ReCore definitely wasn't a sales success but does that make it the years biggest disappointment? I have not played it, so I have no personal opinion on ReCore.

Can't stand it when developers incorporate this into their games. At least when the MP trophies get ridiculous. Like Battlefield: Bad Company '10002 kills'... Put hundreds of hours into the MP, had every other trophy in the game and never got that final one... wtf!?
