Multiplayer is what sounds the most promising.
Looks like a slow newsweek for destructoid.
As the 40gb is selling very well even though it doesnt support BC, I believe Sony might decided to continue PS3's life cycle without BC as 2008 is really looking like a great year both in terms of software and hardware.
Sony has to decide where they stand regarding the BC question because at some point, they will have to choose their stand.
Hmm...
The father must have been possed by the devil because no sick person who ever hit their child in the first beginning.

If Naughty Dog have powerful and great development tools, how come they're not sharing them with 3rd party developers?

"I think the biggest problem there has been is everybody is rushing to get the consumer dollar. They are forgetting the core point of this whole thing. We have to make entertainment that is quality enough that the player is going to like it."

Develop a solid title and then come and talk to me about comparisions.
Sony has been critised on numerous times for releasing multiple SKU's on the market and I dont think it would be resonable for them to discount the 80gb as it will even cause more confusion. To leave the 40gb on the market would probably be a great solution a it's affordable, but at the same time, there are people (Like me for example) who'd want to buy a PS3 that is compatible with PS2 titles and the whole set.
As it's very easy to upgrade the HDD, Sony should really start making this...
Things are starting to look great for the PS3.
Both versions are great... End of discussion.
Sony has been in the hardware industry for quite a long time and they have a lot of expertise. The thing which strikes me the most, is how they are able to lower the production cost of the system in one year.
If Sony are able to pull these things off, I bet we might see more innovation in terms hardware and etc.
Where they using HDMI for the PS3 version or what?
I am a bit skeptical about the pricedrop on the 40gb, but it might happen.
