And we thought the Wiimote was dangerous enough.
Microsoft could have thrown in the towel ages ago, but they haven't because their efforts to penetrate the market has given them a lot; The 360 is selling better than the XBOX and they have a bigger Japanese 3rd party support.
The PSP and DS still have a couple of years left before each company introduce their successors.
I still remeber when I sat in front of my computer playing NFS: Hot Pursuit... Wonder if they will ever create a fun game like that.
What about Battlefield: Bad Company?
One part in me is saying "Hey, I want to play these titles which I never got the chance to", while another part in me is saying "What's the point when great PS3 titles are bound to be released this year?".
Some say magic and others say...
The Co-op seems really interesting and I like the idea of running a parallel story to the single-player one.
huh?
Great article by the way, really enjoyed reading it.
I really didn't have any faith in the system, but I accepted the fact that it will ultimately win the Nex-Gen War judging by the brand and etc. Once Sony started seeing the light, my opinion went from "It will crash and burn" to "It's doing alright" and a year later, I want the system.
Mass Effect is not about having hardcore aliensex or what every image Fox are trying to display to the public. The game has a very interesting story and gameplay mechanism, where the players actions can effect the story and the relationship to fellow teammates.
Edit: I received my 8th bubble today and it looks like somebody took it away from me :(
How's Everyday Shooter different from other shooters?
Now that's eye candy.
MS have sold 18m units so far, but it really seems like they have suddenly hit a invisible wall and they really have to start taking action by:
1.Establish and acquire more 1st Party studio enabling for more varation in titles.
2.Expanding the 3rd Party portfolio of exclusives and time exclusives.
3. Discount the Arcade/Core model and concentrate on a 2 SKU strategi.
4. Stop being narrow minded regarding the format war and look ahead.
Saint Row seems like a pretty decent title, but I prefer GTA 4 as it has a really interesting story to the game.
And I am very doubtful about picking up a 360 as I don't really want to experience Deja Vu all over again.
I get the impression that developers are now starting to withhold content in the retail version to be sold as DLC and that seriously pissed me off. Why should I pay full price for a title, only to know that there'll be addition content to be available 2 months after the release?
There're a lot of more FPS not mentioned in the article:
Fallout (FPS?)
Brothers In Arm 3
Far Cry 2
Was a little bit skeptical towards the mouse scheme, but after seeing these trailers, I am very pleased and I think Capcom took a very daring move to add this to a title like streetfigther.
P.S I still prefer the traditional control scheme
