No it's not. A girl I know who never played any Souls game ever and she beat the first boss in 3 tries. I'm a Souls vet and I beat the first boss in 4 tries. My point is that certain people are more adept at reacting and using varied controls more than others. Some people are more adept at adapting what they're used to.
