As for your 360 hardcore games (not even including Kinect) you are still out of luck. What do you have for your 360 lined up this year, if you say you are a hardcore gamer, other than Forza, GeoW and maybe another halo and some unconfirmed exclusives starting with the word "Project"? Well, Microsoft has a surprise for you: More Kinect stuff coming your way! Do me a favor, just take a peek over the fence at, say Sony's house and look at the ridiculous hardcore games in their back...
Kinect's lack of physical controls aka BUTTONS make it even more less accurate, a huge factor in hardcore games like shooters. That is just an example of applying the Kinect to a hardcore game such as a shooter. Don't get your hopes up dtrain21, unless you consider the Dance Central, Kinectimals and Kinect Sport "hardcore" (lol) then you are out of luck.
Microsoft is just gonna keep on feeding you their casual stuff. ARE YOU READY for it? LOL!
Not to mention the fact that it is even less likely for both your game saves (on the server) and the PS3 HDD get corrupted at the same time. Thing this this feature makes sure that there will always be a game save (by your choice) either on the PS3 or off in the cloud...this is a good thing!

I think you don't understand what cloud is. You are assuming cloud is just one giant server where everything is stored. There are (will be) more than one servers to handle this, in case you upload your saves and the server is busy, the other one will then do the work. The same thing happens with the storage as well...chances that all servers containing the save data crash at the same time are really low. Besides there are backups made all the time.
PSN+ is so much more worth it than XBL for me. With the upcoming feature to be able to upload your game saves to the cloud, I think it is just very epic.
Both games are shooters, I don't see them being that different apart. Be clearer in your words. Two games with totally different artstyles is for example, Borderlands and Killzone 2. See my point?
That assuming Crysis 2 is running on PC and Killzone 2 on PS3. If you're talking about both on PS3, then Killzone 2 has the upper hand mate.
This is a good thing to the company as it fights piracy, but a very terrible thing to the customer who, say wants to play the game at a place with no internet connection, will be very pissed. Reminds me of Ubisoft's case with Assassin's Creed II.
Nevertheless, I played this game's demo and (Meh..) I didn't like it...not my taste. It's like they were trying too hard to be super hardcore but ending up with overhyped fail.
Actually Microsoft is convinced that their Xbox subscribers believe it is the best service in the universe. Believe me it is good, but it's like you are being forced to pay for more features than you want or use.
All I want to simply do is play online...and it's crazy because with all the other consoles I own, Microsoft is the only one that makes me pay for this! All I want is to be able to play online, I don't want it to come with all the other stuff that I never...
For your information, I did enjoy playing Mass Effect 2 on the 360 as well. The thing is I love the franchise so much that I wanted to replay it on the PS3 and this time try to do something different, like make different decisions, play a different class that sort of stuff, you know, enjoy the game for a second time. :D

This trend of less and less exclusive title for hardcore gamers from Microsoft is starting to give me more and more reasons to sell my Xbox 360, especially when you include the fact that Xbox Live is expensive. It's like all that subscription money is going to waste when there ARE NO GAMES to use it for. Multiplatforms you say, well I can do that on my other console, the PS3, for free. What are they seriously doing to their hardcore fanbase, the ones who got the Xbox where it is today?

I figured that some jealous Xbox 360 fanboy out there would get furious looking at the Mass Effect 2 for PS3 and bash it because:
1) It is available in a new improved engine (that makes the 360 version look inferior)
2) The entire game is available on one disc, never needing to change discs if you want to go from one world/cluster/universe to another. Not to mention that all the DLC is also all on the disc for free (Makes the fanboy feel like they wasted money on the ...
Oh infamous 2, how I long to get my hands on you! Speaking of infamous, I should go back and platinum the first game. I am left with only one trophy; the one where you have to acquire all positive karma powers.
