Ha i did just that. I upgraded my oct 2010 expiry to oct 2011. And that too without even hearing about this news. I bought the card on ebay which saved me almost 28$ as i paid $47 and here in dubai it's 73$.
Still cheaper than buying ps3 on launch for $600. Anyway i upgraded my account till 2011/Oct for 47$ yesterday.

You're talking about 5 hour games arent' you with a straight linear path which can be just streamed off. Has any open world game looked like UC or GOW3 on ps3? With such stingy ram allocation ps3 can't render any game which is non linear like UC or GOW3.

I've been using 360s since 2005 dec and till date not one game has scratched. Would have been better if you used the classic RROD in here cuz 2 of my 360s developed it but were repaired free of charge by MS. NOw both are still working 3 years in their life which hardly we can say about ps3's life cycle w/o YLOD.

Yes not needed. Nothing to show in the last 4 years of ps3's cycle except 3 corridor shooters which might as well be just FMV games from 90's pc titles. Shallow and repetitive.
Where as last gen format dvd 360 has proven to be still superior in Multiplat games which is always a better deal than to have 2~3 exclusives per year. MP games out number exclusives.

Most PC games come on single DVD and even after installation not take more than 6~7 GB which is what the size of average MP games around on consoles. Games like GTA, RDR, Bad company are all single dvd and provide much better experience on 360 than many of exclusive 25GB BD games on ps3. Yet all we hear are about graphics on the "exclusive" games which are only corridor shooters and not open world where 360 games shine. Ps3 can't handle open world games better than 360.
I'd rather swap a disc once in a while then to do mandatory installs for 20 mins before playing every game. At least we have option of full install which takes 7 mins not like slow @ss bluray which takes 20 mins for 5 gb install.
Since 2 of my 360s have 250gb i can install many games and even multi disc versions unlike ps3 which has half mandatory requirement and not even a full install option. Dont tell me about 25gb BOOrAY disc games 90% of the games are just 8~10gb ...

Forget consoles take the example of 3D which is more recent panasonic show cased 3D last year in one bit IT trade show either Cebit or something and planned to launch 3D TVs this year. Sony late as usual started their hype of 3D with Sammy and LG coming to market in april or may with 3D, few months Panasonic came and just recently Sony shows up. Same thing with much higher price. Man I have Pansonic 50" 1080P plasma and it $hits so any sony TV out there. Samsung is 2nd number in amazing TVs. My old 2005 Sony GrandWega gave up the ghost already last year with screen now full of blue tinge. Will never buy any sony tv.

You're right only teenagers who dont drive will buy systems for GT5. Nothing beats 0-100km/h (60mph) in 5 secs in real car. I just love to shoot the car after the signal turns green.
You should also have gotten Nokia N900 which has emus of SNEs, C64, N64, Dos, Amiga 500( this im using currently plays most games) plus so much other stuff. The community has really done wonders making Android, Win95 images to boot on this phone/tablet. Good thing ...

It's already shown in latest episode of ENTOURAGE. Turtle playing sports game on it. Shame hardly any wii's or ps3 are shown in shows or movies.
