Wii u is next generation if we take generations as the next console after wii for nintendo, according to nintendo generations is a new generation.
Now if we take in account the whole market (basically in graphics department, online capabilites) its not next generation because isnt powerfull enough to be far from ps3, 360.. so in nintendo generations is next generation, in the industry standards isnt next generation #at least not a 100%#

Ill go for ps4 because i love the games sony have, but everyone has their reasons to buy one console or another, and its fine with me.

I think you are right on this one, i never had the chance to try it, but i heard good things from it, even from a friend that is a ps3 fan, and got a 360 for her girlfriend (her girlfriend was/is a big fan of gt5 but she also loved forza).
