Great article. I can see games doing that for a lot of people. Don't try it in Skyrim, though...there's an NPC there who will challenge you to a drinking game!
Man, that's a lot of tweakin'. I don't blame Capcom for constantly updating the games in reaction to how the players are using them, but I wish they were all free updates rather than new discs/products. :(
The Black Ops one would make an awesome Christmas ornament.
Normally, I would say I would want to avoid these, cause they're very cheap, but...the game itself is glitchy, so I'm justifying this by saying these tips will make up for the jankiness!
"Revealing" makes sense here. The author asserts that the trailer *is* revealing - it reveals many tired game tropes.
That Catball game looks trippy as hell. The dogwall eats the entire level? What the heck...
I'm not sick of zombies yet! :)
This is, so far, the most convincing argument I've seen yet in favor of the PS Vita. Gravity Rush looks pretty interesting.
Just don't look at Modern Warfare 3.... :)
I can't wait to watch the Lesnar fight on this!
I want to agree, but for some reason, I still like physical media with games, even though I gave CDs up a long time ago with music.
Excellent points...how can anyone expect them to do anything really original or interesting with this section if they only had about a year to cobble the game together?
I *still* don't understand how those wireless power mats work. Magic.
I agree with this sentiment. It's impossible for game designers to know what skill levels everyone is at, so why not make the games more flexible like this?
Ha, these are a lot harder than I would've suspected. #3 is funny, though.
Well, that's the first I ever heard anyone say this!
The repetitive throwaway dialogue is really what gets me (too). First time's great...then it just reminds you over and over that you're playing an overly ambitious game.
I still love Skyrim, though. :)
I'm less worried about the story than I am the gameplay. I hope it's really about survival! Dead Island's trailer burned me, so I hope that doesn't happen again.
Ha, same here. That surprised me.
OK, when's the last time a mainstream start actually crossed over to make a great game? C'mon now....
