My first gaming console was the venerable Atari2600.
I have seen many so called overrated games throughout those 20 plus years.
Is Halo overrated?
To a certain degree yes.
Many younger gamers that started out on the N64 or especially in the PS2/Xbox generation worship the Halo...
The PS3 is at over 19 Million units sold worldwide in 2 years.
The Xbox360 is at 28 Million units sold worldwide since its launch in Nov of 2005 = over Three years.
the Xbox360 has an 8 Million lead over the PS3 so far but 5 million of those sales were within the first year of the 360s launch which launched one year before the PS3.
It is estimated that around 2 Million more of those Xbox360s sales are consumers buying their second and even third Xbox360 consol...
The Wii could sell 200 Million and I still would not care.
As a GAMER the Wii is nothing that interests me in the slightest even if every soccer mom and their dogs buy one.
I agree with what the others have stated in that these are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES.
MGS4 is a masterpiece but it is NOT a FPS Killzone 2 is.
It would be more of a fair comparison to state that Killzone 2s incredible graphics make Halo3s graphics look like Halo2.5 in HD.
Ya know at first I didnt mind the Wii so much.
now I really despise this long running FAD.
Sure the Soccer Moms, grandma and granpa and the kiddies AND the Wallstreet analyst LUV the Wii and its money printing abilites.
BUT the GAMERS (gamers not hardcore or casual but -GAMERS-) hate the Wii for some very legit reasons.
The largest of which is having MAYBE 5-6 good games and a software library FULL of rushed to market SHOVELWARE that is filling bargain ...

That is EXACTLY what its like visiting N4G lately.
The PS3 hate is just getting beyond crazy.
Its almost as bad as everyone on the planet BUT GAMERS luv the Wii especially the wal...
Since I own both a PS3 and 360 I really have no overall preference.
These screenshots are basically the same a few pics looks SLIGHTLY better on the PS3 and a few look SLIGHTLY better on the 360.
Im picking up a copy for my shiny new PS3 first as the Blue-Ray discs are damn near scratch proof when compared to the 360 discs that are almost as bad about one scratch ruining a disc as the old Dreamcast GD Roms were a few years ago.

While I do respect the Wall Street Journal this is just below their standards.

I have both a PS3 and 360 and they are both great REAL GAME CONSOLES.
The same cant be said about the Wii unfortunately.
I liked DR on 360 it was OK.
I guess it would be worth $19.99 or better even $14.99.
The fact is that both Xbox360 and Playstation 3 gamers actually buy games for their respective consoles on a regular basis.
Sure the Nintendo Wii has sold 40 Million plus units worldwide but sales figures of the overall library of games show that out of those 40 Million there are only about 2 million gamers that actually buy games for there Wi on a semi regular basis at best.
Right now there are at least 30 milloin Wii consoles setting unused collecting dust in livin...
