I agree, I think that anything over 500usd is suicide and is sure to not sell quite well Sony knows this with the PS3 and they will not make the same twice.
I'm sure they are still working on the final design, I hope that the PS4 is imaged a bit like a high end gaming rig instead with squared edges instead of rounded.
I seriously can't wait till actually own this machine, Launch day can't come soon enough!

I know everything is a matter of preference but I think that any score below an 8 is pretty questionable. I've played all three games and even though the game has been watered down in the horror department from game to game but all the elements that made the franchise what it is is still there!
It's a matter of preference...can't make someone eat grapes if they like apples! Buy what you like and as long as what it has to offer makes you happy then that the one for you!!!!
It's just an announcement for the PS4, people are not going to stop playing their PS3 the 20th and wait til the end of the year to buy games! There are a number of blockbuster PS3 games coming out this year and just like the PS2 proved it will be around for a bit during the PS4's infancy. With that being said its game on and these are exciting times to be a gamer and next gen can't come any sooner!

Perhaps the author is not aware of the drastic decline video games have been suffering from recently. All are not immune to sales deprivation and with Black Friday amung us what better way to usher in a new era!
Let us understand that this is a game not built to utilize the Wii u hardware but to run on current gen systems.
If game informer gave it such a low score I'd pretty much think its not as good as we thought given game informer is pretty generous with scores.
I will be buying this game as it does seem vey promising, I just wish the name wasn't so generic.
Sorry but the PS4 wont be 299$ until maybe 3 or 4 years down the road! wishful thinking though!!
