Back then I was like you, a DMC fanboy, a "combo elitist" lol. Then last gen I finally decided to get the GOW HD Collection and I changed my mind. Yes, DMC has a deeper combat system but GOW can be very technical on Titan mode and it has better boss fights. If you like Beat 'em all games, you should play both.

Less Ghibli but more Level 5 is not necessarily a bad thing. As much as I enjoyed the first game, it was too easy. Probaby because the game was targeting a younger audience. This sequel looks more complex. Me like.

Demon's Souls is more hardcore than the Dark Souls games. The level of difficulty is higher and there is less checkpoints/bonfires.

I don't get your logic. Less jumping would mean less platforming. Why more cinematic? Nioh has no jump button either and it's one of the best action game ever (imo!).
