Consumers hate value? In what world? If the biggest sell point is playing Wii games with Wii hardware on a newer system, why even upgrade at all? The truth of the matter from my point of view is there isn't enough software exclusive to the system itself (that I'm actually interested in playing) to justify the cost for me, hence lowering it's value in my eyes. Personally I've never really cared about these, I just enjoy the games for what they are. I couldn't care less what other gamers think of my "rank". But I've been playing since the atari days long before this was a thing so I'm sure my thoughts on the matter differ from younger gamers.
The ps3 is pretty much sony's phoenix. Rough start, yet rose to a pretty even par with its most direct competitor by the end and arguably had a better/more diverse game library. All things considered I'd call it one if their greater success stories.

Update, just played the tumbler dlc and it was terrible. Really wish they would focus on the story dlc and push this batmobile crap back to the end of the line. I think I speak for a lot of us when I say we got more than enough batmobile during the main story to last us several lifetimes.
As a big fan of all the previous arkham games I went for the season pass. Very disappointed so far. Nightwing, catwoman and the season of infamy stories NEED to be worthwhile or WB is gonna be in trouble with a lot of people demanding refunds.
