So it looks like my post about this a few days ago wasn't too far off. Last I heard, development was still going on, but just a bit slow to hear about any progress. I hope when the game does come out it isn't something that SHOULD have been canned...
Yeah, I mean it's bad enough that people get under the maps and cheat that way, but flying and "God Mode?" That's stupid as hell. What's the point, aside from getting a huge score? But, at the same time, telling everyone you play with that you suck at games like this and the only way for them to win is cheat.
I'm guessing the Mike MYERS is referring to people just stabbing others without dying...? I only ask because I haven't played COD4 since before these hacks went rampant on the PS3 (and I capped Myers since Halloween is my all-time favorite movie and am just picky when people spell it wrong, not trying to be a d!ck.)

DragonWarrior, I do agree with what you said, but I feel the blame about being "graphic whores" should rest on the devs. Any time a new game comes out, doesn't matter what company, the developers are the ones always spouting numbers about polygons, textures,etc... I mean, who would NOT want to have made the best looking game a team could make?
S-E may have said they were using nearly 100% of the PS3s power, but with new games such as Uncharted 2 not quite using the PS3 to the fullest and looking as good as it/that does already, I highly doubt that S-E can do such an undertaking which no other dev team has done yet. Also, for a multiplat game, if they "were" to use the fullest of the PS3, wouldn't that throw off their claim of "equality" between then multiple versions? I'm not saying that the 360 can't do it, but...
Just by looking at those screenshots, I can say that the older build LOOKS better, hands down. Some subtleties are a bit nice (like the out of focus background look, and the water) but the actual detail such as the hair and clothing, not to mention the "hump" on Lightnings back, look worse/ not as good (since worse sounds a bit harsh) in this newer build.
It may not have been constantly reported, but this game was progressing. I'm guessing since the start of Midways problems it put this game in jeopardy and slowly lost momentum, and has either been put on hold or has yet to be OFFICIALLY canceled.
What about the Half-Mass Edition?
Oh hell yeah. WAY cheaper to buy a real board, even if you broke it and had to buy a new one. Plus, it's a LOT more fun to actually ride on a skateboard, just like it's way better to play a real guitar. This is just another way to milk money from the masses, no matter how appealing/unappealing.

It would be one thing for the game to be nearly released (i.e. going gold or somewhere close to that step)and these staff then left, but it's a whole other story with them leaving right in the middle of production/development. That either means the game will soon be canned, which sucks, or will possibly switch studios to finish the job, but under SOE supervision. If that's the case, don't expect it to come out as it was intended. I just have a real bad feeling about this...
I just find it funny how some devs can make a game great for the PS3, while others can't figure some things out, making multiplats one-sided. Either someone is lazy, or they just need to take more time/ get a slightly larger team to help push that extra bit to make all versions (PC possibly excluded) equal. It can't be THAT much more difficult, can it?
