If I buy a disc game and can't play it because the servers are dead or I have an internet blockout, router failure, whatever, what's the purpose of disc based games? For me this generation is on hold. Need direct and clear statements from MS and Sony they are not going after always online and always connected mantra. Meanwhile PS4 and PC will suffice.
This time around price will have a surge due to greedy other than piracy. The obvious part is everybody can predict the industry will be impacted by an increase on piracy, we just don't know how much.

People, this is the time to stop next gen disaster, Sony and MS needs to make public announcements they are consumer friendly. It seems Sony and MS are lip tight about always online, always connected. This is a major issue to be dealt. By this time I'm only considering PC gaming, until MS and Sony made it very clear they are against 2013 MS policies.
The future is without always connected and without always online. The criticism applied in 2013 is still valid in 2020 and beyond.

Without a doubt any game from PS4 should be upgrade free to PS5. Negativity is increasing in Sony land, with always connected, always online, 70 euro games. IMO Sony must think wisely what will be next gen.
