Why I agree with some of the stuff you said you act like the original Xbox wasn't more reliable then the PSX and PS2 combined.
Why the 360 was a massive fuck up the same could be said for the PS2 I have 5 currently in my house 1 of them works.

For first/third person shooters a mouse is still the best way of playing, of course there are exceptions.
But that being said if I went to play a game like dead space I would assume a mouse would give me the most accuracy, although in this case it seems it doesn't.
Will idiots stop pretending it's the 360's fault the current state of J-rpgs lost odyssey is most likely still the best turn based J-RPG this gen.

There's a Might and Magic game like that on the PC, wasn't very good. The idea is good in concept flawed in execution.
No one cares something being exclusive doesn't make it better, in fact it only limits the number of people able to experience the media.
Everyone understands the need for exclusives they define a certain console, but unless you own stock in Sony Microsoft or Nintendo why does it effect you?
