I'd like to know where you keep your 360, how long you play it, how many other electronic components are running in the same cabinet, if you have children or pets who like to knock things over, and finally, whether or not you check your fan vents for dust and debris.
People act like their 360 is more akin to a an N64 that doesn't require any ventilation, as opposed to a PC that requires good ventilation...
I have had my 360 since 1/8/2006. I have played all sorts of games and demos on it, sometimes playing GeOW for 8+ hours straight.
In all that time, playing all those games, and I have NEVER HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM!
I added the Nyco intercooler last Christmas just to be safe, but again, I've never had a problem with my system.

Here in the US, Verizon and others is moving to have fiber optics in every home by 2012. They want to get rid of copper and force everyone to fiber which is cleaner and requires less maintanence.
Honestly, by the time 5 years is up, most Americans will likely have access to fiber at 50+ Mbps or much faster Cable (20+mbps).

Remember folks, software attach rates are how gaming systems make up their losses on the console itself, and Sony is in a lot of deep dirt when it comes to the PS3. PS2 on the other hand, well its still making them money hand over fist, so at least the company is still solvent.

I know, maybe they could go to cartridge based so that load times are reduced, OR they could switch to Blu-Ray or HDDVD so load times take 5 minutes like the PS3.

What game, with widespread appeal, does the PS3 have coming out in September? The answer, is none.
Even GTA IV which is the successor to GTA III which was a HUGE title on the PS2 is multi platform. If 360 gets a price break and GTA IV along with Halo 3, Shadow Run Assasin's Creed, etc, the battle that you think you are fighting over how "awesome" your PS3 is will be over.
Which means the graphics and textures are still being worked on. This is not a "Demo" indicating its a sample of a finished product, this is a beta which Bungie admits is several generations behind what they are testing in-house.
No slam on you, but I hear this all the time and it tend to be from people who don't understand that this was about testing network load, not about showing cutting edge graphics and showing their hand before sometime in late July.
...worry about! I don't care if its 5 DVDs, at least the 360 has an actual game! PS3 fans are still waiting for ONE SINGLE AAA TITLE!
