The game is shipped out months before release for testing, QA and such. That leaves Guerilla with enough time to develope Dlc for the game.

I agree, it was the highest rated games like... Ever, it won awards from every single gaming site of the time and even won best made game ever.
A game truly ahead of it´s time, to me it beat out gta:Sa and halo 3 easy.
