Solution A: Make your games cheaper, increasing sales and profit through an economy of scale. Hell, I might even buy a crappy wrestling game every once in a while if it was only $15. Worst case scenario: you get a bigger fanbase and community around your games because more people can afford them. This can only help in the long run.
Solution B: Make a game worth $50. Ask Nintendo how they do it.

Honestly I'd probably put Gunstar Heroes at #1, followed by Sonic 2 at #2. Treasure is really THAT good. Gunstar Heroes gives any Contra or Metal Slug a run for its money in the 2-player co-op run and gun department. But with better controls, weapons, melee attacks, and some of the craziest vehicular boss battles ever.
After those 2 though... it gets hazy for me. I played a lot of crappy Genesis games... I really loved Kid Chameleon and Sonic Spinball, but I doubt the...
Wii Sports, Wii Fit Plus, and Wii Sports Resort are just so damn amazing. It's great to see them at the top of the list, WHERE THEY BELONG. It's no wonder that Wii Sports clones are "the next big thing" for both competitors for the Holiday 2010 season. I doubt Kinect or Move will even outsell Wii Sports Resort.
Going into this I didn't expect them to end up talking about everything from Rapelay to Rambo to Robocop. Wow. Love when the one guy calls these games war profiteering too.

It's not just a game. It's an interactive piece of art that is attempting to create both entertainment and documentary value of an ongoing conflict. Yeah we make movies and books about wars while they're happening, so we should be able to make games about them too. But the answer is never "it's just a game." If it offends people, then it's offensive. It's a very sensitive issue with many people that can be offended on pretty much every side of it. But.....
