Good men mean well. We just don't always end up doing well.

LOL. Calm down man. I'm Indian and live in India and Bollywood mostly churns out immature garbage. I watch very select Bollywood movies after my wife recommends them because I'm sick of watching entire scenes lifted from Hollywood productions.

There's no reason for this --- > "I get it, it's easy being ignorant. But in that case, save yourself the effort and please keep your ignorance to yourself. Thanks."

Again Calm down.

Great blog DK.

"Art is the expression of the artist, not the audience"

This one line summed up everything I believe in. Devs should just stay true to their vision and if its a good game it will sell. I couldn't help but laugh about the whole ME3 ending issue. They might as well have asked the internet to write the story and then create the entire game based on the inputs. Its just ridiculous.

@Gamespawn your right. Where I live the PS2 was still being heavily advertised till 2012. And games were still being released here. In fact the eyetoy bundle was being heavily pushed in 2012.

Absolutely right. To be frank i discovered niche when I got the Vita but it's not for everyone. Indies are cool but for a relatively powerful handheld there isn't any mainstream western game that's really said buy a Vita aside from a few sporadic titles, which again aren't really marketed well.

@Mikey32230 Not really sure what your point is. But if I understood correctly you're trying to say the Vita is much more than a second screen. We vita owners know this. We know its an awesome device. What the article clearly is getting at is Sony is not marketing the Vita as an awesome standalone handheld but rather as a companion to the PS4. This is the gist of the article if you read it.

"All Sony really needs to do is advertise it. Correctly."

If Sony does advertise it well, its going to change gaming in a good way. PSNow and this is a great concept.

IMO a lot of the people were reading too much into megaton accouncements by "insiders" and forgot to keep hype in check. All in all E3 was good. Not great but good enough.

In India its not surprising. Last year, I went to pick up the Vita & the Sony Store guy said it has been discontinued. He told me to buy the newer model called the PSP E1000. I laughed and told him the E1000 would likely be discontinued and tried to explain that the E1000 was a PSP with a few limitations. He was adamant, so I showed him a pic of the Vita on my phone. He said he was not aware of any such device. I left that Sony Store and drove 80 miles to the next Sony Store and got it. I...

you've typed out my entire post :)

I was in CS for 13 years and everything you say is true.

I remember reading an article some time back about the whole 1080p and wondering why in the world would this matter so much that some people would not buy a game, when we went thru a whole 10 years with 720p. Games still sold and we still enjoyed them.

Yes I know hardware has gotten more powerful and we all want a higher resolution and framerate but I always thought we play the games for the gameplay. Yes graphics, resolution matter but I can only see a problem if it was 480p...

Hahaha. Couldn't agree with you more. There isn't a single horror movie I've seen so far that can creep me out more than a game can. An Indiana Movie is fun to watch but it's positively exhilarating to play Uncharted.

And that is why we game. :)

@DoctorJones : I see what you're saying but at the same time there are loads of movies that want to achieve a lot but end up with you wondering wtf. Its the same with games as well.

I've never played a single COD multiplayer. I know I'm in the extreme minority. I do have quite a few buddies who play and I enjoyed spectating. I'd have to agree with the article that COD has peaked and maybe Destiny is really Activision's next bet.

"People have been more satisfied with the Xbox 360 than the PS3, so in that respect people have less of a need to upgrade in the short term due to regular updates for the Xbox 360."

Why in the world would you sell a kinectless SKU @ $399, when all X360 owners won't upgrade "in the short term" anyway? So you're targetting the unsatisfied PS3 owners..... wait they already got the PS4.... so who's your market?

4417d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Rather than saying things like kinect is integral to the X1, MS should have just showed why kinect is so awesome. I'm sure if Kinect was so good gamers wouldn't have made a noise about it being bundled with the X1. Eventually its the games that use kinect that would justify its existence and this is where MS failed.

a kinectless X1 is now $30 to $50 too expensive when up against the competition. BTW I'm hoping to get a PS4 soon and an X1 in September when it laun...

Lol yeah. I was thinking the same thing. So now does this mean the X1 will be better without Kinect? So the guys who bought the X1 + Kinect SKU will have the "premium experience" with "less power" than the guys who get the unbundled SKU. Or does it mean everyone will have the same experience but just unplug kinect.

Trying to make sense of this makes my head hurt. Can anyone explain this to me?

4418d ago 7 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yeah I can only imagine how I'd feel if I'd bought an X1 for $499 with kinect when I didn't want it, and was told it is integral to the system, only to be told later its now available without the kinect, that I never wanted in the first place. Not trying to stir s**t up but I'm sure some early adopters must be going thru this.

Luckily I don't have a PS4 yet and the X1 is releasing in September here(I think).

I was "wow" when I read it last evening. It's a good move though I feel MS should have made it a bit lower than $399 because now a lot of people are going to say but the PS4 is "more powerful" for the same price. Keep in mind that I truly don't care too much about the perceived difference in graphics. A game's a game and I play mainly to unwind.

However since I don't have either the PS4 or a Xbox I'll definitely be watching E3 closely t...

I read it and seriously it was funny. I couldn't for the life of me understand what was happening. I was laughing too hard.

LOL. I just seen how I sounded but what I meant was I'm getting a oversaturated with the franchise. I'd like them to take some more time on each entry and provide something fresh. Just saying.
