I'm not sure how MS would work in a bonus with Playground or any of their 1st party, I'd strongly assume engagement since that's how they measure success ei the more the game is played or downloaded, MS loves engagement.To recoup cost i would imagine the Walmart business model aka high traffic. Thats probably why theyre pushing to get Gamepass on as many platforms as possible. Netflix is successful because its on every platform under the sun.

Games on Game Pass and movies and shows on Netflix don't split the 10$ subscription. Rather Netflix and Microsoft in this pays a lump sum or finances a game.
