Well the fact sony do 2 If not 3 FREE games over 3 different systems (so looking at nearly 8-10 free games a month over ps3/4 and vita whereas xbox do 1-2 a month and it's like it or lump it, the speed of which these are being released you'll prob get Kameo for free for Christmas and gears 2 for chrimbo 2015! Ps+ is like Netflix for games where's games for gold is more like the adverts at the start of youtube videos just time wasting and a pain in the ass. No one wants the launch games from 360 7 years after they launched let alone all the games the have dived in the last 12-18 months. Another difference for you likelyhood of cancelling ps+ when the free games are this good... £299 and a decent batch of games and I'm there currently I'm at a massive 1 for games I'd consider buying if purchasing an Xbox one and that's titanfall but what with the being online and likely dying or having a sequel due by the time I get round to getting it the servers will be bare so I'll just grab it on ps4 be it the first one re released or the 2nd one but it's not making me go i need that xbox yesterday, I'm happy to sit this one out for a year or more...

I'd probably go with the 3DS XL first due to being cheaper and having a literally massive library of fantastic games to go on, but understand mario kart and possibly smash bros due soon so wii u is defo one to watch but if you can't wait get a 3DS first as not likely to lower any further in price and shop around on the wii u in a month or 2 let's face it there's bound to be a wii u bundle with either mario kart or smash bros in the new few months ;) if not a little price cut, ...

3 years after 3DS launches is hardly too soon after, the fact that you can still play DS games is lucky enough, the online costs money and surely the numbers of people playing mario kart DS over the new 3DS version are getting smaller and smaller by the day, 3DS is seriously starting to shift so I don't see why this is such a bad thing 3 years!
