I’m a massive fan of Sony and Nintendo hence I got the PS4/5 day1 and the GameCube/wii/WiiU/3DS Switch day one. Doesn’t mean I’ll buy any old shiii they put out certainly not for the first year or so as it’s mostly pretty average and overpriced on launch it’s just cool as it’s new uses dual sense etc is it actually an amazing game in the long run no. Just because you are a fan of something doesn’t mean need to buy everything they do. Animal crossing party plaza or whatever it was called €...
Hence I’m not getting day1 I can wait a month and save £20. My argument is if Nintendo doing theirs for £39.99 majority and I get they aren’t graphically on par with Ps5 but Ps5 nearly double that, games are still launching for normal prices this is just a new launch premium . They won’t drop any major major games until they sold 15/20 million consoles as they’ll wanna be trying to break tho day1 records and they won’t if no one owns the console… and or they continue with this £...

Yeah I’m just not spending money on premium priced games just because we’re the only ones who could get hold of the console once it’s more common those prices are non existent and it’s £45/50 max everywhere my PS4 BC is more than enough to keep me busy and them giving us Control (I had just platinum’d it tho but I’ll do it again) worms, oddworld (not played yet) destruction allstars, days gone (platinum’d it but many haven’t) they are giving away plenty of top notch games before play at ...
Ocelot agreed that’s why the only one I paid £65 for was miles day one came with a copy of Spider-Man remastered to keep platinum’d miles sold it on (I’ll wait for a free copy if I wanna play it again) but Nintendo day1 isn’t foolish. Last of us 2 I’d of happily paid it 30+ hours for one run quality game through and through, GTA5 (yeah I’d have paid it regardless of it’s online mode) absolutely, even Mario odyssey or galaxy 3 if they ever make it. Some games absolutely are worth the £70. For me it’s quality replay ability and hour many hours I’ll get out them, GTA5 7 years (not non stop of course but many many hours) Mario games I go back to happily if they good enough super Mario world mario bros 3 etc timeless class...
I’ll be skipping ratchet also, handy I’ve literally just played the other one for first time ever, brilliant game got the platinum but I can wait for couple months easy. £65 just doesn’t sell it for me. £50/55 is more than enough it’s pure greed. It’s not as bad if we’re talking one of single player or that’s the whole game but when you think majority of games then have dlc, season passes of Microtransactions that soon racks up. Yeah certain games certainly within literally 1 month can be half the price. Fifa assassins creed even cod normally has 20/30% off within a matter of months. Backlog is big enough and quality enough to not make me need to rush out day1 for £70. If we were talking GTA6 shiii can take £80 it’s a guaranteed banger but new IP’s and untested games with no demos for £70 a pop. Good luck.
If you happy to pay more, more fool you, as once £70 is standard then it’s £80 then it’s £90. There is no need for the increase sure budgets have increased last time I check so had profits being as they’ve just had one of their best 12 months ever pandemic has been very helpful and these big blockbusters games earn millions of not billions so maybe spend less on the PR and put the prices back down to where they should be. Yeah you can complete some entire games in 2-3 hours so to play and then die/lose all progress and start back again is a big ask. 30 mins to an hour tops ideally. I remember trying S rank Resi 2 got to tyrant and he ripped my head off. Safe to say i didn’t bother with that again 🤣✌🏻
While rest mode is great (chronoJoe) the amount of times I’ve come out of auto save and then just die by something random so you could just be prolonging the agony.

Personally no, if an established and let’s face it seems like the lastest one is gonna be very good (Resident evil) can launch on ps5 day1 for no more than £48. I don’t see why this is a massive jump up to £69.99 £65 if shop around but still no for me. I can wait. They make good games but Resogun was great but it was also free or very cheap. Not hard to see why PS4 absolutely smashed the exclusives from day1 for the entire gen. I currently own a solid 400/500 games my physical collection is about 50ish but digital sales have been ridiculously good 80-90% off, sold. I treated myself to the half price collectors edition it’s actually pretty decent. Glad I didn’t pay £250 😅 for it 🤣. However yeah defiantly wanna wait for that Ps5 version and probably another 2-3 months worth of updates 😏😜✌🏻

All the Resi games are good to speed run eventually once you know the puzzles and skip all the notes etc.
