Look at Playstation All Stars, some might think it's a rip off of Super Smash Bros but Sony and the developers involved try their hardest to make their version of the game unique and differnt.
They came up with the rival system and the Supers to kill people with instead of relying on health/percentages....now they could add them in the next game as options but they still thought of new ways to make their games differnt.
It wasn't heavily inspired by Tomb Raider, it was just action/adventure Hollywood movies
The only reason they are a like it because all the similarities in the platforming but ND went with a realistic game this gen how else are you supposed to realisdtic climb something, of course it's going to look like TR with pulling your self up on platforms and jumping to grab something....it's not like NDs last games where they could add a double jump.

I mean people keep saying Uncharted copied Tomb Raider when in fact it copied films like Indiana Jones at the end of the day.
The platforming is only similar because it's the only way to do realistic platforming in games, theres no other way to climb something, you can't have double jumps like in ND's past platforming games Crash and Jak so of course Drakes climbing...

Sorry but if it was the Nintendo before the Wii then I probably wouldn't mind as much but ever since the casual audience has been their main focus I just couldn't see them do Crash. It's the reason I wouldn't like the Nintendo of today do a Conker game if they were the ones to buy Rare.

Type-0 tried to move away from the FNC mytho but it was nearly done so they couldn't change that much to it other then the name. If they had more time they would of got rid of all the FNC refrences
With Versus it's been in development so long that they've probably reworked it to seperate it from the FNC series aswell. All those old videos with refrences to FF13 stuff were old builds of the game.

I'm not sticking up for him...but with the first two games it didn't really give off the "AMERICA F*** YEAH" vibe in the games like AC3
The thing is in the war between Americans and the redcoats both sides did some horrible things, both sides were as bad as each other but AC3 dumbs down what the Americans did and exaggerateswhat the redcoats did to make it one sided and that the redcoats were like completely evil.
