I think the reason it's loosing importance is because they reveal EVERYTHING before E3. The spend most of the show talking about stuff we've already saw or heard.

Change the name, add some new features, bundle the new console with a normal pro controller or a new Gamecube like controler and change the colour of it. Make the Game Pad what the Wii balance board was to the Wii

Yeah with the die hard fans who own a Nintendo Product, the main ones who watch it...I think people keep forgetting that.
It's only after the show is over it ends up on news websites but even then it's only to the hardcore gaming community who actually bother looking online for gaming news.

I think this is something people don't get when someone judges a game before they play the game....despite seeing all the interviews, gameplay videos, trailers, screenshots etc
If you buy a game when you know it's going to be crap deep down or average then you've just given your money to a developer...it won't matter what you think after you've bought it because you've already given them something
He can't admit that it was a huge problem because he's the one who probably wrote it....I'm guessing it was a rushed job aswell with the original ending leaking and the fact they instead wasted resources in the extra months they had on crappy multiplayer instead of getting the ending right.
Not trying to be a part of the "Sony fan" group you've mentioned because I don't believe in all that crap but you mean like how Microsoft fanboys won't admit that Kinect is basically an improved eye toy with a ton of advertising behind it
This would of been better if...
It included Twin Snakes or had the original on disc instead of downloading
Was in a steelbook
Had high quality packaging
Had a bandanna included
The comics were included instead of interactive
I could go on...I wish they would of done a collectors edition of this.

Nintendo directs are mostly watched by die hard Nintendo fans who already have Nintendo products. Whats the point doing smaller direct like shows when they should be showing off stuff to everyone with an E3 conference

Honestly...Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart U and Super Smash Bros U deserve a huge show presentation.

Paul, Adam Orth and some others have all said something about always online so it's looking possible. We'll see though on the 21st unless they decide not to go into that
