Sony pioneered camera based motion control with the ps2 eyetoy. That evolved into the more powerful playstation eye for the ps3 with motion control and voice recognition well before kinect was released. And now the natural evolution of that is coming to the ps4.

I'd like to see this industry do a lot more with romantic storylines. It's done quite well in books and movies. Why not games?

Of course microsoft will make exceptions especially for big games it needs on it's platform. Rayman Legends doesn't have that kind of leverage though.

The wii u is tanking right now with a very thin lineup of games for the near future. Gta5 on ps3 and 360 in the spring with no wii u version could be devasting to nintendo.
Four months is enough extra time to finish a port for the wii u that releases day and date with everyone else.

Many twenty/thirty something gamers have young children. Parents buy gaming consoles for teens who have younger siblings. This is a large part of the market and they need to provide content for them. It just makes your console a more attractive product. I don't see what's so hard to understand about that.
While those games don't appeal to you or me sony has to cover all their bases. Out of all the home consoles on the market the ps3 is probably the least appealing for the kiddy demographic. It's a huge market and sony need to cater to it.
I agree with Volkama. The Last of Us is a brilliant game but going into any game overhyped or with unrealistic expectations can really kill the experience for you.
