Honestly, once that would have bothered me. These days though, not so much. Watch Dogs is the most recent example but quite frankly that game was a huge disappointment for me even without considering the PC specific problems. PC has grown a lot as of late and the developers started to take notice (Ubisoft included) so much so that a bad PC port is started to be bad for business. Furthermore I have so many games to chose from as a PC gamer that those few bad ports just fade in the background. ...

Nice read Dragon, and I agree with you on the most important aspect, exclusives are good for business but bad for gamers. It's stuff like this that make me glad I didn't buy a new console and game exclusively on PC now.

So another developer succumbing to corporate greed is a good thing? This benefits gamers like day one DLC.

Who are you trying to convince? How do you want Microsoft to convince? Yourself, and people like you. You remind me of those people that stick with carrying on a bad relationship with someone that was caught cheating. If they do it once they will do it again if you allow it. And no sugar coating will change that.

So the PS4 has better hardware, cool games, no DRM, no anti-consumer BS, didn't showcase their games on nvidia GTX cards at E3, and costs 100$ less, yeah...I'm buying an Xbox! Reading some of these Xbots comments made me realize that their so full of S***t that they don't even realize when they're fed even more.

The Xbox One brings nothing new, nothing needed, it's a forced attempt by Microsoft to enter your living room and in the future control it.

I have nothing bad to say about the product itself it just shouldn't have the Xbox logo on it.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything written above, unfortunately many 360 owners (restraining myself from saying "Xbots") just don't get it.

With all due respect to everyone that has ever played a game at least once in your entire life, the people that will buy the One are a living testament to what a consumption driven society has deprived us of, which is, the ability to think for ourselves.

These people have no idea what DRM means, or shr...

Sorry for your Nintendo fan friend :D. With all the bad press the X1 has gotten since its launch I am doubtful their marketing plans will be mirrored by others in the industry.

"The game disc has been reduced to nothing more than an installation disc, and personally for me that is a deal breaker."

That's exactly how MS sees it. At least from my pov. It has nothing to do with digital distribution. They are simply masking their intention to contr...

Personally on my PC I try to stay away from DVD's. They seem useless to me now. The Steam system works, at least on the PC market and was a game changer when it took flight. People often confuse the idea of ownership with that of materialistic aspect of things. Thinking one can't exist without the other.

The money in my bank account is mine, though I don't know the serial numbers for each bill. But if I need it I can access it. And basically that's all I want. I...

So far after reading countless blogs and comments I've come to one conclusion. WE ARE GIVING THE X1 WAY TO MUCH ATTENTION! IT's already dead, stop worrying somebody could actually buy it, because guess what, people will do just that. And all because they want to play Halo 5,6,7,8,9 and all the rest, and let's not forget to CoD players. I won't and like me many other gamers will opt for something else. MS lost already and they know it, we've called their bluff, that's w...

Good read. If I may, your portrayal of digital distribution makes it seam like something to be avoided. It appears to me you are saying that my Steam games don't belong to me just because I lack the physical storage medium. I'm afraid I don't agree with you on that.

I've been an avid advocate of physical media in gaming ever since Steam started nesting in. I was extremely skeptical of the benefits of this distribution method and refused to take any part in it....

Hello MichaelLito79,

We are all friends here, please come in, have a seat. Would you like some tea? cookies? a drink? No? Alright then, now listen.........you have to let it go man, it's for your own good...I wanted it to be awesome also, but it sucks. The DRM sucks, Kinect always on sucks, used game fees suck, it's all a big ball of godlike garbage.

But we are in luck my friend, there are options, there's the PS4, the PC, hell even that Wii-U no...

STOP giving these kind of articles attention! Stop fueling the fire. The more attention we give these delusional fanboys the more will popup.....seriously enough!

The game has many shortcomings I know, but there are also many aspects to like if you look at it in an objective manner. And @Locksus, I agree not every low score is given to attract hits. This one from my perspective is.

Yes, by all means, but I'm pretty sure the score was meant to attract attention, not to express his "honest" opinion.

First of all, good article! Now, the PC is also my console of choice seconded by my PS3, and until the Kinect came out, the 360. Yes it's true that the majority of Xbox gamers play these games in particular. Now the Halo and Gears fans I can understand as these to games have their own world and lore that can be fun to discover. "Crap of Duty" does not. The first games came out as a response to EA's early Medal of Honor games and copying the formula while at the same time imp...
