It's because if it generates enough revenue, other pubs will follow suit and we'll end up in a world where every publisher requires a subscription to play their games. Stop looking at where we are today as a gaming community and look at where we'll be if we keep letting publishers decide how we game.
This isn't a fanboy issue, it's a gaming community issue as a whole. There was a time not too long ago when playing online on a ...
I know I'd love a future where we pay a subscription to each publisher just so we can play games from a small list of options that the publisher allows us to play! Who needs personal choice when we can be told what we need to play!

Waste of money?! What are you talking about?! I'd love to pay $30 a year so I can play games 5 days early and if I like them, I'll gladly pay $54 (10% discount oh boy!!!!) for the digital version (who needs to trade in games for credit these days??)

Here are my personal thoughts on PS Now (speaking as someone who personally took part in all of the closed PS now betas): as of now (on it's current BETA state) the prices are high. ...
Anyone else find it funny how someone who claims to not care about Sony seems to always pop up in Sony articles?
Your tin foil hat is a little tight this morning.
Why?
Shock of the century that you'd try to downplay Naughty Dog news.
And this is why fanboys shouldn't write articles. Forbes is a business publication that reports unbiasedly based on actual numbers, facts, and figures. If you want to sugar coat the fact that the XB1 isn't selling as well as you hoped, go read MisterX. He'll never say anything bad about MS.
Also, notice this is a NEWS article, not oppinion. It's hard to put a positive unbiased spin on an article when the actual facts don't allow for it.
Cause this comment section needed that...
Just wondering, what is the next excuse you have lined up once XB1 finally ships worldwide and still doesn't pass PS4 in sold through numbers. You (and several other MS fanboys) bring up the 72 countries as if you think suddenly the XB1 will sell a million in each day one. Also, bringing up China is pointless to your argument since the PS4 will be sold there also.
Wonder if you'd use the same logic when talking about the Master Chief Collection.
My guess would be better ships have better warp drives so you can travel to different planets. I'm only basing this off of at the start of the beta intro level when your ghost tells you that you'll need to get a ship with a better warp drive so you can warp to further planets once he finishes repairing the first one you find.
I was referring to playing I:SS in 3D. Not all passive set can convert a non-3D signal to 3D. If yours can, I highly recommend checking out Infamous in 3D.
Not to make you jealous, but my 47" 240 hrz LG Cinema Google Tv can turn any signal into a 3D picture (very accurately might I add) and Infamous:SS looks awesome in 3D. And since the 3D processing is done by the TV, there's no loss in frame rate, however, and this is with all passive 3D, there is a slight resolution dip but it's not as bad as the PS3 res drop in 3D.
I'm confused why the XBox marketing team is effected. I thought the marketing for the XBox One was fine considering what they had to work with. The marketing team didn't come up with their original policies, that was done by the higher ups. If anything, the Xbox marketing team should be commended for advertising/ selling as well as they did based off the original reveal.
Sadly it's the marketing team that is taking the heat away from the XBox division heads.
@ThatOne
The name makes sense once it's explained to you. To the uniformed consumer, going from a higher number to a lower number doesn't usually mean a technical upgrade.
The dots were added for the PS4 to add to the competitive nature of trophy hunters so they could easily see the rarity of their trophies, but the colored corner is just a Watchdogs thing.
I just checked my trophies and none of them have colored corners (and I checked PS3,PS4, and Vita). It's just a design choice by whoever made the trophy logos in watchdogs. This is a complete BS "news" story. This is the kind of article that should get a website banned.
I think that since every naughty dog game has had teasers hidden in them of future projects, that everyone who plays Uncharted 4 needs to keep their eyes peeled for anything Crash related, assuming of course that Sony has one of the Naughty Dog teams working on it.
I'm not disagreeing with any of you because you're all bring up valid points, except you guys are too stuck in how things are today. An all digital gaming future is going to happen, and if EAA is a glimps at where all digital is headed, then it's a subscription for each individual publisher. I understand my tinfoil hat is a little tight today, I just don't want what I'm saying to happen.
