By killing the pandering pandas before they poison the game, the developers get to show their true vision of the game.
Horizon already had a massive install base available on the PS4, Zelda obviously was released on a new console, £40/$60 game vs £300+/$350+ for console and game?
This is a great example of a game that deserves every unit sold and more, an absolute masterpiece, unlike the casual lazy tat like fifa 17 and CoD (fifa is nowhere near the 'best football game' on the market (pes destroys it in every department especially the fantastic AI. I almost platinumed pes 17, only stopped by the wretched 'myclub superstar 6 wins in a row' trophy), and no need to explain how bad CoD is to you guys).
Septic you know exactly what I meant, there was a thread on the ps4 n4g community page about it two weeks ago.
Took me 15 hours on my first play through (got lost on a few adventuring parts which took time to figure out, especially on the Marooned chapter where it was pitch black inside a 'cave', had no idea where to go and spent like half an hour 'trial and testing' (basically jumping around hoping Nathan latches on to something) leading to loads of deaths until I figured where to jump)
This game (I played the remaster recently) made me a better gamer since completing it, the overall experience, the survival aspect and how it felt to search every nook and cranny of the world has changed my play style in other games ranging from Uncharted 4 to Horizon. The game isn't 'fun' but that's exactly how it should be, it's not 'fun' in an apocalyptic world where the aim is to survive. Now I embrace and immerse myself in gaming environments instead of blasti...
The infected down-voted Donnie's comment, one was from a runner, the next was from a stalker and the last down-vote was from a bloater.
CoD Zombies, yes. But there is still room for more narrative and games regarding zombies and the undead, and I am looking forward to the Last of Us 2.
Heard of the Third Party market?
@EDMIX
Yes GAME are like the UK equivalent of Gamestop, but unlike you guys in the US who have proper gaming competitors on the high street like Target, Walmart, KMart, Best Buy, Amazon US etc to check prices, we in the UK are more or less stuck with GAME as the high street gaming retailer and CEx are usually regarded as a gaming and entertainment pawn shop. There used to be a great high street store called Gamestation but unfortunately the company that owns GAME bought the...
$700? If so, hopefully they don't make a joke in bad taste to consumers like 'needing two jobs' to have one, especially in the current economic climate. Anyways $700 after the hardcore get the console, it would take some expert persuading for casuals to buy one when considering the price of PS4 Pro would have dropped by the Scorpio holiday release. Right now you could buy a PS4 Pro bundle and Switch bundle with that price.
A SNES Mini with games in the console, plus adding the capability to purchase packs (sets of SNES games) to add and play onto the mini console, would be awesome and sell bucket loads (as long as Nintendo provide the supply to meet demand instead of the NES Mini debacle).
Good ol' Naruga spouting BS :D
Come back when PS1 runs Unreal Tournament
The question is, will the Scorpio win over the casuals (after the hardcore jump on board) with the rumoured high price point and the cost of games/accessories/Live on top, and the competitor flagship console getting price cuts by the time the Scorpio releases?
Mass Defects?
Can't wait for this game, yeah there's a mountain of hype for TLoU2 but if there's one developer who can live up to the hype it is Naughty Dog.
Jim rips into games regardless of the mainstream reviewer perception, and this year he's been tearing plenty of new ones from Zelda BotW to Yooka Laylee and now Mess Effect Pandromeda
That Hitler reaction video is genius, my face was tired from laughing (pun intended) so much at the video, the best I've seen so far. The "they even hired a racist who hates white people" line was awesome.
Exactly what I was thinking when I read that headline
I got a brother who recently has been hogging the PS4 every day playing that football game with all flash no substance, such incredibly poor AI and scripted gameplay called FIFA 17 (the only reason I've played it is for easy trophies), he leeches on my PS+ to play ultimate team, and because Battlefield 1 I got digital, he leeches on that as well (and he sucks bad on it, plays it like CoD and gets constantly owned, only plays scout and never plays the effin objective). A few days ago I dea...
