mostly any TV or receiver which has HDMI inputs has an optical out (the same port we're trying to use on the A/V cables). Why not just plug your HDMI cable into the TV/receiver and the optical cable into the optical out on your TV or receiver?
in that way, you don't buy anything else or rip apart the A/V cable
the same engine used to run the game is producing the cutscenes in realtime. that's one of the advantages of a powerful gpu

Exactly what I was gonna say! I guess it's reporter bias to create such a title for this article. Does the xbox 360 need to be turned around? If it's already on it's way up, then the title is implying that Halo 3 would bring a decline to it's rapid success.
