Here's my take. Only a vocal minority of people cared about hair color - and it was the first reaction to the teaser trailer. They were annoyed because it was the first sign Dante's backstory was rewritten. Moodiness in and of itself is not the problem. The problem is that Dante's emotional issues seem contrived - he literally tries to see if he has a physical heart. A bit emo. But because Dante isn't exactly emo for the rest of the game, the sob story stands out as contrived....
What a vague article. What does it mean that the animations were janky and clunky? In what regard, and compared to what? The resolution was unsatisfactory? To whom? According to what standards? This is a very subjective term.
Why does Kairi not play well, while Garuda does?
From what I saw in the trailers, the gameplay looks fluid, I see no sudden animation cut-offs or unnecessary frames, or anything else that would bother me. I suspect the problem the re...
You're kidding, right? If they had remastered DMC1 to DMC4 for next gen systems, people would be accusing them of making a cash-grab even more than they already are. I mean, remastering a game, fine, but remastering the series (except for DMC4) twice within like three years? ...Yeaah.
I agree with the last paragraph of your comment, though.
The DMC HD collection was already released two years or so ago. It contained DMC1, DMC2, and DMC3 in one package. So yeah... there goes your entire point.
I don't see why so many people are so sarcastic about it, DMC4 SE is a Special Edition just like DMC3 SE was, it's extra content (that isn't forced on you), for probably a decent price. It's like DLC, and I don't consider that a cash-grab.
That said, I am disappointed that Vergil seems t...
Yes, it does. The original game also played at 60 fps, you know.
Excellent, the new costumes were direly needed. The inclusion of Lady and Trish is pretty nice too, though I wasn't waiting for it. The concentration mechanic sounds nice too, though I hope it doesn't unnecessarily limit the length of your combos. Vergil having his DMC3 moveset with some DmC combos is fine... a bit underwhelming, but okay.
What I want to know is, will the game finally explain Vergil's relation to Nero, and will it give closure on whether or not Ve...
There's nothing to ''move on'' to. DmC is two steps back in terms of both combat depth and quality, and quality of writing. If you meant 'get over the fact that DmC was made', I think everybody already has. That doesn't mean we don't have the right to criticize DmC if we want to.
Really, the only people who haven't 'moved on' are the ones who complain about criticism toward DmC. DmC failed, time to move on to what worked and wha...
And aside from my last point, it's also a fact that they're spending more time on DMC4: Special Edition than they are on DmC: Definitive Edition. Which is kind of odd, since adding in Vergil shouldn't have to take so long.
They don't really have a reason to bring Vergil back, so I'm guessing DMC4 SE might be a prologue to DMC5.
Also, there is no indication that they've dropped the classic DMC series; they never announced DMC4 to be the...
You mean DmC Dante. People refer to the classic games as DMC (without the underscore 'm').
Anyway, as long as it's the old Dante with some classic anime-horror style like in DMC1 or DMC3, I'm happy. DmC Dante just isn't very likable, pretty boring too. Just like the rest of DmC: Devil May Cry, really. That, and the game was just too easy, too restrictive, and juvenile as hell.
But I'm starting to rant again.
Dude, Capcom said that if DmC sold badly, they could go back to DMC. And guess what? It sold badly: it was supposed to sell by at least 2 million but sold 1.1 in the deadline. After DmC, Itsuno himself said that he ''would like to make a DMC5 at some point'' (I'm paraphrasing here).
And the fact is that the DMC series was never finished. They just recently created a new protagonist, Nero, to appeal to a larger audience.
DMC2, which takes place afte...
'''DmC' fans will rejoice knowing their fast and furious action the series is known for, is now going to be fully realized in full 60fps, giving more fluid action and a much more pleasing result.''
Wow, that sentence is all over the place. First off, 'their' fast and furious action? DmC wasn't nearly as fast and furious as DMC3 and DMC4.
Second, the 'series' you're referring to is DMC. DmC is part of the Devil May Cry *f...
''Like damn so what if someone finds something offensive.''
I would agree with you, were it not for the fact that the SJWs certainly care, and they do their best to make others care. They do their best to censor anythign they find offensive, and even when they don't, they try to sway public opinion, often with lies, half-truths, misinformation, or other forms of propaganda. They literally think being offended is a form of violence that has been done to t...
