I can't afford to buy many new games either, but the fact is after about 6 months the majority of games are down at least 33%, and many are in the 20-30 dollar range. So I'm a little late to the party most of the time. At least I save money and get to keep my games.
Agree with you on greatest hits versions, those completely ruin the appeal of a game for the collector in me. And Resi 5. That game is a pile of crap. Far Cry 2, though.. the more time I spend with that game the more I like it. I think it's more about letting you experience a place than anything else. What have I learned from it? Africa sucks. Also, the fire mechanics are AWESOME.
I have my own pile of shame, too, but the reason I'll never trade those games in is because I'm ashamed of not having ever played them. Ironically, Okami is one of those (got about two hours in and haven't picked it up since).
