Dirt 3 is more focused on Rally
it's normal
you can't just take every minor detail in a game, you can just skip some of them that should be unnoticed but I guess some people have a job to notice the minor things
New game engines put the efforts in those elements:
Shaders and lightening
Shadows
Physics
and I'll say it one more time, if Crysis 2 took the path that Crysis 1 took for requirements that is, how it could compete into the game market if only 30% of gamers ...
Imagine Crysis 2 will have the same requirements as Crysis 1 by today's measures
Crysis needed a 6800 GT but it will look so ugly
with a 8800 GT you can play Crysis 2 with high resolution and it will look great, for anyone who needs more just wait for the DX11 patch

Crytek outdone themselves, the game looks amazing on all consoles but of course and once again the PC claims it for the lightening, the shading the Anisotropic filtering, the Field of View even the Anti Aliasing
there is no perfect game
and they gave it 9.0 that's very good enough
I don't think any game deserve 10 score because they can't do everything right
I really was excited when the game was announced for the PC

if they made a Dragon Age II very similar to Dragon Age it could get repetitive easily cause: "been there, done that"

Shame! I really was waiting to hear a good news about the game release for PC, but I had a hunch that the game won't see the daylight
even if PS3 games looks awesome, no one can deny that it will look much better on a PC, a really powerful one that is!
so get a PC with a high end DX11 card, Crysis 2 and BF3 will look insane!
