The chances are pretty slim of it happening, but if we get more developers for PC like CD Projekt Red, then it's definitely a win in my book.
People will support quality and fair pricing, but not the other way around.
Why would they come back to Relic? Games Workshop can work with anyone.
Even if the consoles do crash and burn, the PC will still prevail.
I loved playing Crash and Jak & Daxter when i was younger. Those were some really good games.
Also, a interesting fact is that Sony wanted Uncharted to look more gritty, realistic. Otherwise it would've looked more like their previous games.
I'm not surprised that it had to become worse over time. Maybe the developers are suffering from some sort of fatigue at this point, and it's time to change things.
What i'm saying, is just what i've observed from my perspective. Someting i've observed from WoW, is that no MMO out there have accomplished the responsiveness that Blizzard games has.
Why do you think people return to CoD? Because it's simple, and it plays like a hot knife through butter. They'll never have top of the line visuals, because they focus on the gameplay instead.
I'll just use Crysis 3 as an example. You can have the most visually appealing game, but it probably ends up playing like shit as well.
Same goes for other industry leaders, such as WoW, LoL etc. I'm not exactly thrilled about it, but that's just th...
Since Microsoft did it with Skype, you can be damn sure that they'll do it with Kinect as well.
I honestly don't think the exclusives will be that important anyways. 3rd party will most likely be superior.
Untill the system works without Kinect entirely, it's just another red flag of many.
Killing used games will end up biting the industry in the ass. It may seem like a brilliant decision, but it'll mean that less people will buy your games before significant price drops.
A video about used games - http://www.escapistmagazine...
You have to wonder though. Imagine used games and piracy is gone, what kind of excuse will they come up with next?
It's really hard to support most devs these days, though. Sure, there are some really good examples that need support out there.
Right now, the wait for Witcher 3 is killing me.
News about The Evil Within just gets better and better.
I'm sure that there are plenty willing to take her place. That's a job available for someone else better at writing.
''David Cage, during his presentation, made a good analogy between film and games. It was the development of technology that permitted cinema to become the powerful art-form we know it as today. On the cusp of a profound leap in simulative power, gaming appears ready to make a similar transition.''
I disagree with this. Maybe it had a part in it, but i don't think it's why cinema has become what it is.
Maybe it's just me, but they need to ask some other developers. At least some people more well known. Asking Molyneux about a new console, is like asking him about what he was dreaming about last night.
Unless MS lets us disconnect the device entirely, it's a no buy. They can preach their ''You can turn it off'' shit all they want, but that doesn't change the MANDATORY Kinect.
They know people will just keep it in the box, if they had the option to do so.
Never played anything but Tales of Vesperia. It was a pretty good game imho.
Not to mention that the PC can play decade old games. The same can't be said for the consoles.
I'm actually more excited by this than a RTS game. We need more strategic turn based games.
I'm hoping this turns out to be what they say it is.
