Its called an evolution of technology. 4k tvs will be standard someday. It would be nice to see this Gen hit 1080p. How does that not matter? Maybe the little steps don't matter as much as the evolution as a whole, but without them there is little progress.

Microsoft has been smoking the cloud. They put the resources into kinect and skimped on power. That's why when they said they listen to consumers, it was obviously a lie. I don't remember people saying they want a wonky way of changing TV channels over graphical prowess.
And to everyone saying graphics don't matter, you are all crazy. I didn't buy a top notch HD TV to play up scaled 720p games on.
Upscale one. I fully expected the next gen consoles to be primarily 1080p. Do they expect people to be happy with these specs 4-5 years from now?
It is simply because of the lack of non indie games at launch (any launch will have few games) that they only give offer indie games. As stated in the article, there are zero xboxone games with gold. Give them time and ps4 will have non indie PS+ games. Games with gold will probably also have some xboxone full games on offer after a few years.
My guess is they took crap from rabid MS fan boys for a long time and now the roles have reversed. Are you honestly saying MS fan boys would not be doing the same if the xboxone was the superior console?

Ps3 is still selling well. Kinda crazy to see it sell more than the xboxone in any region. I think the forced kinect and subsequent price of 100 dollars more really has hindered sales for MS.
So many factors this "journalist" ignores. Like how many PS+ sales and even vita sales are precipitated by the sales of ps4. Wonky numbers are wonky.

I will skip the dumbed down multi-plats. If I wanted xboxone graphics, I would have bought one.
Looking at ps3's current pace of sales and how close in price the ps4 is, I am surprised they would forecast much higher than it is fulfilling as is. It is not doing poorly, given the time in its lifecycle.

Online only game launches are seldom without issues, it will just be how many and for how long. Thorough testing and not rushing it out will help.
Not as much as Microsoft needs titanfall to push their system. If it flops or has massive issues, it will effect xboxone sales.

Ps4 is going to tear up Japan. More consoles sold means more dev support. Xbone is selling well though too. Would be a closer race if the guys at MS weren't so bone headed. Who says consoles are dying, crazy
