The way Sony pushes it's format is of no consequence. The point is that it is WORKING. Sales numbers show it.
You act as if all "Movie" enthusiasts are going HDDVD. I tell you right now the only reason on bought a PS3 was because it is a cheap Bluray player. As with many of the people who bought them.

#1 - Formats are NOT consoles. Consoles are a completely different feild altogether. That's partially why I think the term "Console War" is assanine. There can always be more than one console, in fact, there always has (pretty much anyway)

It seems to me M$ has been getting alot of bad press recently, and Sony has been getting alot of good press. Maybe the tide has turned. >:)

So did VHS from about 1997 to 2000. You have a point, but it's not a point worth making. New formats sometimes take years to become established. You forget that both formats are less than a year old.
However, Bluray sales data shows that people are adopting the format much quicker than people did with DVD.
We base our findings on sales data. ACTUAL SALES DATA, Year to date, monthly, weekly, yearly, whatever. Every company out there is saying the same thing, Bluray is outselling HDDVD. In January it was 2:1, February, 3:1, and now March shows that Bluray is winning 9:2.

I agree, but in a different way. This article is completely pointless and I believe I read something very similar to in back in January. The fact is that Bluray does not need a secret weapon. Weapons are for wars, and this war was over long ago.

They have confirmed several times that Wii is going the friend code route. Every online game WILL use friend codes.
